And so it begins.

Just started this blog today.  I guess it will take a bit to figure this out but at least it's a try.  I have been trying to set up my pictures in an album but can't yet seem to find one.  I suppose I will eventually get there.

Life is peaceful and quiet up here in North Bay.  I moved up here four years ago now and it seems like only last week.  The weather is gorgeous and not that much different from Toronto.  The air is cleaner though and the lake is beautiful.  You can swim in there without any fear of pollution or diseases being contracted.  

It's a nice little city and the people are friendly.  I joined a quilting guild last week and most of the women there treated me like they had known me for years.  Everyone said hello and how glad they were I was there.  Made me feel very welcome.  Since I have been here I haven't really gotten out too much to meet new people so this is a good start.  Now that the life here is setting in for me, I think it's time to get out and explore.  I also will start the knitting classes again.  They are very close to the office so I can get there easily.  Mix and mingle they say.

My quilting is becoming better and better.  I have learned so much over the last year and the online coarses I have are fantastic.  I have learned so much from them.  With Christmas and Samhain coming it's good to be able to make some gifts.

I still want to get my Etsy shop open too.  Hopefully I can get enough inventory made up to get in there.  I've been so busy trying to get things done, but I really do enjoy it.

Well I'm off for now.  I am hand quilting some tiny baby quilts for the hospital and I want to get them done.
